One Dead, One Critical After Severe Woodward Avenue Crash [HIGHLAND PARK, MI]
One person was killed and another is in critical condition following a severe crash on Woodward Avenue in Highland Park, Wayne County, early Thursday morning, August 27, 2026. The crash was reported by ClickOnDetroit Local 4 News.
According to sources cited by Local 4, the crash occurred around 7 a.m. near the East Davison service drive. Aerial footage from the scene showed a single vehicle with severe front-end damage that appeared to have struck a pole at the intersection. The driver was killed and a passenger was critically injured. Woodward Avenue was closed in both directions following the crash and has since reopened.
