Semi-Truck Rolls Into Pine Lake [West Bloomfield]

A semi-truck left the roadway and rolled into Pine Lake on Orchard Lake Road near Pine Lake Road in West Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, on Monday evening, August 3, 2026. The driver sustained injuries. Hazardous materials crews and emergency responders spent several hours at the scene containing a fuel spill and working to recover the truck from the water. The story was reported by ClickOnDetroit Local 4 News.

According to ClickOnDetroit, police are investigating the cause of the crash. Scene video showed the overturned semi partially submerged in Pine Lake as emergency crews worked to contain the fuel spill. Officials had not released information about how much fuel entered the water or whether the spill affected water quality as of the time of publication. The driver was found sitting on top of the overturned truck when emergency crews arrived and sustained injuries in the crash.
