Minivan Driver Killed After Rear-Ending Semi-Truck on Telegraph Road [BROWNSTOWN TOWNSHIP, MI]
A 53-year-old man from Newport, Michigan, was killed Tuesday morning, August 18, 2026, after the minivan he was driving rear-ended a semi-truck that had stopped to make a left turn on Telegraph Road near Sibley Road in Brownstown Township, Wayne County. The story was reported by ClickOnDetroit Local 4 News.
According to police, the crash occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. A large truck had stopped in the roadway to make a left turn when the minivan struck it from behind. The driver of the minivan sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
