Crash on Schoenherr Road Leaves 3 Injured

Three people were injured — one seriously — following a four-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Warren, Michigan. The crash on Schoenherr Road occurred near Common Road around 9:30 p.m., prompting an immediate response from Warren Police and Fire officials.

According to authorities, the collision began when the driver of a Toyota Camry was heading north on Schoenherr Road, reportedly weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed.

As the driver approached the intersection at Common Road, they attempted to pass two vehicles by crossing into the southbound lanes. This reckless maneuver resulted in a violent head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle in the middle lane. The Toyota then struck two additional cars before coming to a stop.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where the Toyota driver was found critically injured and later transported to a nearby hospital. Two other individuals sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash, with speed and possible reckless driving cited as major contributing factors.

Compensation Options for the Victims

Victims of the Schoenherr Road crash may be entitled to several forms of compensation depending on their injuries and the circumstances of the crash. Under Michigan’s personal injury and no-fault insurance laws, accident victims can pursue compensation for:

  • Medical expenses — including emergency treatment, surgery, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.

  • Lost wages — for time missed from work due to recovery or disability.

  • Pain and suffering — for the physical pain and emotional trauma caused by the collision.

  • Property damage — for repair or replacement of damaged vehicles and personal property.

  • Loss of quality of life — for long-term impairments that affect a person’s ability to live normally.

If the investigation reveals that the Toyota driver’s reckless behavior caused the crash, victims could also pursue additional compensation through a personal injury lawsuit based on negligence. In such cases, punitive damages may apply if the at-fault driver’s conduct is found to be particularly reckless or egregious.
